Hello, my name is Rey and my pronouns are they/he. Today’s date is January 1st, 2025.
As a transgender person of color, I’ve lived through the shifting tides of a political landscape that continues to challenge the rights and healthcare access of my community. Since beginning my transition in 2014, I’ve gathered countless stories — stories that feel urgent and necessary to share.
Photography, for me, is more than an art form; it’s a way to process and preserve the moments that define us. Through my lens, I strive to capture not only the world as it is but also the strength, resilience and humanity of my community.
