Good afternoon friends,
I hope your week is off to a good start.
I’m writing to you because this publication has grown beyond what I imagined when I first launched it earlier this year. What began as a passion project has become a space for education, reflection, and advocacy in response to a political climate that continues to harm transgender people, immigrants, and those of us working in the diversity, equity, and inclusion field.
Even as a naturalized citizen of 20 years, I carry the awareness that my rights and place in this country are hanging in the balance. That’s why I continue showing up through storytelling—sharing nuance, hard truths, and the wisdom that lives between the lines.
This work doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s sustained by community and that includes you. Your presence, support, and engagement are what make Rey and the Archive possible.
Here are a few ways you can help me continue this work:
Ways You Can Support Rey and the Archive
Become a paid subscriber. For just $5/month, you’ll support my monthly recaps of anti-trans legislation and help fund resource creation. You’ll also receive a shoutout in an upcoming post and get access to 2–3 exclusive posts each month. Once I reach 25 paid subscribers, I’ll be hosting a weekly live where we can talk about life, love, politics and all things in between.
Share my posts. If something I have written resonates with you, sharing it with a friend or posting it on social media goes a long way. Likes, comments, and shares help more than you think.
Refer friends to this publication. If you’re not ready to commit to a paid subscription but still want access to exclusive content, you can use this referral link. You’ll receive up to three months of paid access based on how many people you refer.
Buy me a coffee. If monthly subscriptions aren’t for you but you’d like to send some one-time support, you can do that through Ko-fi. You’ll find the link at the bottom of every post.
Every act of support, whether it's subscribing, sharing, commenting, or simply reading, helps this work reach the people who need it most. In a time when our voices are being silenced, your engagement ensures that mine can continue to speak up, push back, and build community. Thank you for standing beside me. This space, this work, this fight—none of it would exist without you.
Muchas gracias,
Rey
